Roxanne Kartchner

Roxanne Kartchner, 65, of Sunnyview, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at her home. There will be no visitaiton, cremation will take place. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 29, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave W. Rogers of First Christian Church, officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Roxanne Kartchner was born July 30, 1949 in Sioux City, Iowa to Wayne and Shirley (Ray) Hulst. She married Paul Kartchner in 1970. She worked many years for the Battered Women's Shelter helping to heal the hearts of many men, women and children. She enjoyed working in the yard and caring for her dogs. She loved her family with her heart and soul. She was preceded in death by loved ones: grandson, Devon Kartchner; father, Wayne Hulst; mother, Shirley Shoemaker who met her in heaven and are with her now. Survivors are her husband, Paul Kartchner of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Shirley Hulst of Minnesota; sons: Todd Kartchner and wife, Jeannie of Carlsbad, NM, Trent Kartchner and wife, Dametra of Carlsbad, NM, Robert Davidson and wife, Candy of Silver City, NM; grandchildren: Laura Vasey and husband, Brandon, Aaron Kartchner, Jennifer Jenkerson and husband, Joseph, Kristen Davidson, Matthew Davidson; great-grandchildren: Bryson Vasey, Ashlynn Jenkerson and sisters: Shureen Lewis of Tucson and Dawn Hickson and husband, Gene of Dallas, TX.
