Rosendo "Rosie" Fuentes, Jr

Rosendo "Rosie" Fuentes, Jr., 56, of North Guadalupe Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away December 14, 2013 at Lincoln County Medical Center in Ruidoso, New Mexico. There will be no public visitation and cremation will take place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, December 19, 2013, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Sam Azzinaro officiating. A private family burial will be held in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Rosendo "Rosie" Fuentes, Jr. was born October 15, 1957 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Rosendo and Francisca (Rodriguez) Fuentes, Sr. He loved to spend time in the mountains and enjoyed hunting. He married Corina Martinez on November 30, 2012 in Carlsbad, New Mexico after 13 years of companionship. Rosie was working at Mosaic as an environmental tech. He loved the outdoors and spending time in the mountains and enjoyed hunting. He was preceded in death by his mother, Francisca Fuentes and brother, Adan Fuentes. Survivors are his wife, Corina Fuentes of Carlsbad, NM; daughters: April Reech and husband, of Baton Rouge, LA, Ivory Gamboa-Mize and husband, Jason of Big Spring, TX; son, Jeremy Fuentes of Carlsbad, NM; father, Rosendo Fuentes, Sr. of Carlsbad, NM; grandson, Aiden Fuentes; granddaughter, Sophia Fuentes; sisters: Guadalupe Vasquez, Teresa Valenzuela, Yolanda Villegas, Isabel Badillo, Eva Fuentez, Ceceila Hobbs; brother, Obed Fuentez ; three dogs: Abby Fuentes, Max Fuentes, Wilma Fuentes and numerous nieces and nephews.
