Rosalind "Lynn" Echavarria

Rosalind "Lynn" Echavarria, 48, of Ocotillo Canyon Drive, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at her home. Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Friday, June 28, 2013 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Vigil is scheduled for Friday, June 28, 2013, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday, June 29, 2013, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Vaentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Rosalind "Lynn" Echavarria was born April 4, 1965 in Kermit, Texas. She married Allen Wootton in 1982 and graduated from Ft. Stockton High School in 1983. Lynn moved to Carlsbad in the late 80's and went back to school to become a registered nurse, graduating from NMSU-Carlsbad in 1996. Lynn worked for Lakeview Christian Home and the last 10 years she was employed at Carlsbad Medical Center in the operating room. She married Victor Echavarria on July 1, 2000. Lynn had a passion for helping people and cherished the relationships she developed with patients, co-workers and doctors alike during her time at the hospital. Her kids and grandkids were her biggest joy and never turned down the opportunity to be with them. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mary Franco and first husband, Allen Wootton. Survivors are her husband, Victor Echavarria of Carlsbad, NM; children: Erica Wootton and Greg Barela of Carlsbad, NM, Ryan Echavarria of Carlsbad, NM, Ashley Echavarria of Las Cruces, NM, Bradley Wootton of Las Cruces, NM, Braeden Echavarria of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Alicia Franco and Leo Whittington, Ft. Stockton, TX, father, Raymundo Franco of Ft. Stockton, TX; grandchildren: Madison Barela, Miley Barela, Trent Echavarria, R. J. Echavarria; grandfather, Raymundo Franco, Sr.; sister, Betty Warnock and husband, James, Gloria Morales; brothers: Raymond Franco, Armando Franco; brother-in-law, Fred Wootton and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Zach Smith, Orlando Ybarra, Dr. Alexander Shydehub, Rick Hernandez, Davey Calderon and Dr. Cheickna Diarra.
