Rosalee Wilhoit, 96, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Lakeview Christian Home, Carlsbad, New Mexico
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Rosalee Wilhoit was born November 18, 1919 in Hood County, Texas to John Henry and Mary Lou (Baccus) Wilhoit. She taught in several country schools before teaching in Lovington for many years and later in Albuquerque where she retired in 1985. Rosalee loved crocheting, embroidery, crafting and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Elwin Berry Wilhoit, Lowell Wilhoit, Billy Wayne Wilhoit; sisters: LaWanda Wilhoit and Bobby Wilhoit; sisters-in-law: Neva Wilhoit and Wilma Wilhoit.
Survivors are her twin sisters, Maxene Pierson of Waco, Texas and Imagene Marshall of Portales, NM; sisters: Ola Frances Alexander and husband, Leon of Roswell, NM, Joyce George of Slaton, Texas; brother, Ray Wilhoit of Timberon, NM; sisters: Blanche Hudson and husband, Charlie of Portales, NM, Phelba Jo Gibbs of Terrell, Texas and twin brothers: Glynn Wilhoit of Portales, NM and Lynn Wilhoit and wife, Cathy of Portales, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.
