Roger Lee Paugh

Roger Lee Paugh, 47, Carlsbad, New Mexico, (formerly of Oakland, Maryland) passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Born December 4, 1963 in Meyersdale, PA, he was the son of the late Jeremiah (Jerry) & Arlene (Yost) Paugh. He is survived by a brother, Michael A. Paugh and wife Lori; sister, Donna L. Paugh, all of Oakland, MD; and sister, Cathy A. Shaffer and husband, David of Pittsburgh, PA; nephew and niece, Travis and Allison Shaffer; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Roger was a resident at Mabee Group Home, CARC, Inc. the past 16 years and worked at the Greenhouse. Prior to moving to Carlsbad he worked at Appalachian Crossroads in Oakland, MD. Roger participated in Special Olympics both in Maryland and New Mexico and was registered with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 99 in Oakland, MD. He was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carlsbad. A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carlsbad with Rev. Geri Cunningham officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements. Arrangements for a Memorial Service and Interment will be at a later time at Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland, Maryland.
