Rodolfo S. "Fito" Galindo, 81, of S. 5th Street, Loving, NM, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at Landsun Homes.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 19, 2013 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
A vigil is scheduled for Wednesday, June 19, 2013, 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Loving, NM.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, June 20, 2013, 2:00 PM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Loving, NM with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating.
Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico.

Rodolfo S. "Fito" Galindo was born January 25, 1932 in Las Animas, Chihuahua, Mexico to Benigno Galindo and Beatrice S. Franco. Rodolfo came to the United States in 1956 and began working in farming and ranching. He married Celestina Cueto on July 1, 1956 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. He later worked at the Pecos Valley Cotton Oil Mill in Loving, NM where he worked for 25 years and became a foreman. Rodolfo continued to work in construction and farming thereafter. He was a volunteer groundskeeper for Our Lady of Grace church in Loving. Rodolfo enjoyed having family get-togethers, making his famous asado and grilling outdoors. He enjoyed gardening and took pride in keeping a nice yard. Rodolfo enjoyed music, dancing, watching western movies and he so loved his vanilla ice cream. He loved to spend time with his grandkids and his Chihuahua dogs. Rodolfo will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandsons, Ronnie Lujan and Joshua Castro.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Galindo of Loving, NM; six children: Alicia Parraz and husband, Serapio of Loving, NM, Oscar Galindo and wife, Marivel of Carlsbad, NM, Daniel Galindo and Angelica Loya of Lovington, NM, Guadalupe Laney and husband, Tracy of Roswell, NM, Maribel Lopez of Carlsbad, NM, Oralia Galindo of Carlsbad, NM; 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Rosa Villanueva and husband, Miguel of El Paso, TX and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Mark Lopez, Samuel Lee Santana, Jeremy Galindo, Keith Lujan, Anthony Lujan, Patrick Galindo, Derek Galindo, Daniel Galindo, Joel Parraz and Justin Parraz. Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters: Katrina Lopez, Shaniece Fuentes, Alexandria Lobato, Marissa Galindo and Lorissa Galindo.
