Roberto Munoz

Roberto “Bobby” Munoz,75, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, peacefully at his home. Roberto was born on March 20, 1949, in Carlsbad, NM to Rebecca Munoz and Alberto Moreno. 

Visitation will be from 5:00PM-7:00PM, Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Rosary is scheduled for 9:30 AM, Friday, December 20, 2024, at St. Edwards Catholic Church, followed by Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Pasala Hruday Kumar officiating.

Roberto lived in Carlsbad, NM all his life. He worked at Duval for 25 years. After Duval he enjoyed working at Leo’s Café and Lucy’s as a prep-cook. He loved being around family and friends making everyone laugh. He was a die-hard Raiders Fan. He loved to give gifts to all his nieces and nephews at every Christmas. Robert would always make a list of names for Dora to buy Christmas gifts for them. He will be missed by all that knew him. We know he is now with his son, Fabian and his mother, Rebecca. 

Robert is preceded in death by mother, Rebecca Munoz; son, Fabian Munoz; brothers: Ernest Hernandez, Frank Pancho Munoz; sister, Yvonne Munoz Saiz; brother-in-law, Gusto Yanez

Robert is survived by his wife, Dora Munoz; sister, Lucy Yaney; brother, Jimmy Munoz and wife, Mona; brother, Eddie Carrasco and wife, Imie; brother, Ruben Munoz and wife, Laura; numerous extended family and friends. 

Heartfelt thanks to Christina Hernandez from Enhabit for her caring service in helping with Bobby’s care. To Mike and Patsy Madrid for driving Bobby and Dora to Bobby’s doctors’ appointments in Albuquerque NM, and Lubbock TX. Also, a special thanks to Dora co-workers and family members who donated money to help with travel expenses.
