Robert Milton Underwood

Robert "Bob" Underwood, 67, of Winchester Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at his home after a long illness. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2014 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park with Mike Veilleux officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Robert "Bob" Underwood was born October 2, 1946 in Albuquerque, NM to Robert Myron and Ruth (Phillips) Underwood. He graduated from Farmington High School in 1964. Upon graduation, he proceeded to grab life by the horns and live it to the fullest. A rambler by nature, he lived in Florida and California and in numerous places between, but his first love was New Mexico. He was fun-loving, generous, and he could fix anything. A mechanic, he worked as hard as he played retiring from Irby Construction in 2010. Survivors are his wife, Kathleen Walsh Underwood; children: Jennifer Mervine, Robert Underwood, Angelo Aguilar, Tom Kissee and 12 grandchildren. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
