Robert Curtis Thorne

Robert Curtis Thorne, 39, of Standpipe Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away April 3, 2013 at Carlsbad Medical Center. There will be no visitation, cremation will take place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2013, 1:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Larry Krueger officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Robert Curtis Thorne was born May 29, 1973 in Carlsbad, NM to Robert T. and Willie Marie (Brown) Thorne. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1991. Robert worked for Rock House Water and most recently Union Industrial. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and never turned down the opportunity to be in the outdoors. Robert was very talented and could fix about anything. He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Marie Thorne. Survivors are his father, Bobby Thorne of Carlsbad, NM; two sisters: Zondra Thorne of Carlsbad, NM, Rondah Courtney of Carlsbad, NM; nieces: Lindzi Courtney and Alexa Quintela; nephews: Cole Courtney and Chaz Thorne; grandmother, Wynona Thorne of Lubbock, TX and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
