Obituary Robert Brett Thompson, 59, of Mission Avenue Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at home. Brettwas born on May 5, 1960, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Jerry and Margaret Thompson. Cremation has taken place, and there will be no services. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Brett was a kind and caring person, always there for others, making him an excellent care giver. He was quiet, reserved, and never pretentious. Brettwas an avid reader, and his intellect allowed him to retain everything he learned. If you had a question on how to do something, Brettwould know how to do it. He was one of kind, Brettwill be deeply missed and never forgotten. Brett was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Thompson; second father Joel Harper; paternal-grandparents, Park and Jewel Thompson; maternal-grandparents, John and Ruth Martin.
