Robert Lee Saiz Sr.

Robert Lee Saiz, Sr., 62, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Carlsbad Medical Center. Robert was born on July 26, 1962, in Carlsbad, NM to Ben and Frances Saiz.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, December 6, 2024, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Loving Cemetery in Loving, NM.

Robert was an avid 49ers fan, and loved drinking his Dr. Pepper. He enjoyed the outdoors, exploring and going on trips. Robert was a hard worker and a family man. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Ben G. Saiz; mother, Frances (Juarez) Saiz; wife, Annabelle Saiz; and five siblings: Manuel Saiz, Joe Saiz, Rosa Chavez, Celia Medrano, and Mercet Saiz.

Robert is survived by his four children: Valerie Garcia of Carlsbad, NM; Angel Saiz of Artesia, NM; Robert Saiz, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; and Michael Saiz of Carlsbad, NM; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; six siblings: Roy Saiz, Sal Saiz, Ben Saiz, Reymundo Saiz, Mary Jane Fuentes, and Lorina Muniz; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
