Robert R. Emmons

Robert R. Emmons, 76, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014 at Carlsbad Medical Center. There will be no visitation; cremation will take place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, October 9, 2014, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Carter Miller officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Robert R. Emmons was born December 29, 1937 in Mexico, Missouri to St. Clair and Mary (Carter) Emmons. He moved to southeast New Mexico with his parents as a young child. Robert graduated from Artesia High School. He worked for Tessenderlo Kerley over 35 years. Robert had a love for cars, especially his Porsche. He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings. Survivors are his wife, Betty Emmons of Carlsbad, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.
