Robert “Bobby” Meyn, Sr., 45, of Carlsbad, NM was called back home by God on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Bobby was born on June 30, 1976, in Phillipsburg, NJ to Robert “Bob” and Joannie (Smith) Meyn.
There will be no visitation, and cremation as taken place. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Jacquez officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
When Bobby was almost three years old, he moved with his family to Lovington, NM. He attended public school there from grades K through 12, graduating from Lovington High School in 1994. He worked most of his life in the oilfields around Lovington, Carlsbad, and East Texas. He moved to Carlsbad in 2003. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Yesway, managing the Allsup’s store on Lea Street.
Bobby had many struggles in his short life, but with his faith and love of God, he managed to overcome a lot of them. Bobby’s struggles are now over. He is at peace in God’s loving arms with his Dad, Aunt Mary, and all of his loved ones who were there waiting with open and loving arms to welcome him home.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” Meyn; paternal grandparents: Robert and Catherine Meyn; maternal grandfather, Richard Titus, Sr., three uncles: Richard "Richie" Meyn, Richard Titus, Jr., and James "Harry" Meyn; and two aunts, Cindy (Titus) Korosec and Mary Ellen Kennemer.
Bobby is survived by his four children: Deanndra Meyn of Lovington, NM; Robert Meyn, Jr. of Lovington, NM; Micah Meyn of Lovington, NM; and Autumn Meyn of Lovington, NM; granddaughter, Kylie Caudill of Lovington, NM; his three boys: Dillion, Devion, and Shawn all of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Joannie (Smith) Meyn of Carlsbad, NM; two brothers: Johnny Meyn and wife, Holly of Lancaster, SC; and Kevin Meyn and Amy Quintela of Artesia, NM; maternal grandmother, Patricia Titus of Belvidere, NJ; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins
