Robert "Bob" Westfall, 89, of North Ash Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Landsun Homes.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, October 27, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Coffman officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Robert R. "Bob" Westfall was born in Dexter, NM on December 16, 1924 to C C and Ellen (Phillips) Westfall. He grew up in Portales, New Mexico. Bob joined the U.S. Navy in 1944 and served in the Pacific Theatre aboard aircraft carriers, USS Tarawa and USS Mackaster Strait until his discharge in December of 1947. Bob married his wife of 67 years, Leila Gray on June 1, 1947 in Portales and began farming in south Roosevelt County in 1950. He and Leila moved to Eddy County in 1956 where he worked in the potash industry until 1980 when he established Westfall Concrete Products. Bob was an enthusiastic sports fan and actively supported Little League Baseball in Loving, NM and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bob dearly loved his family and doted on his grandchildren. The youngest of nine children he was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Archie, Wayne, Elmer and Alvin and four sisters: Vivian Terry, DeeBee Coffman, Bernice Allen, Echla Dufault and his son, Kelly Westfall.
Survivors are his wife, Leila Westfall; three daughters: Caryn Pond and husband, Richard, Brenda Westfall, Teri Smith and husband, David; 11 grandchildren: Lesli Mahaffey, Jeff Pond, Leah Cannon, Robert "Keith" Dodson, Kevin Dodson, Kris Westfall, Ross Westfall, Kirk Westfall, David Smith, Derrick Smith, Katie McEntyre; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews .
Pallbearers will be Jeff Pond, Keith Dodson, Kevin Dodson, Kris Westfall, Ross Westfall, Kirk Westfall, David Smith and Derrick Smith, Honorary pallbearers are Lesli Mahaffey, Leah Cannon and Katie McIntyre.
