Robert "Bob" Underwood

Robert "Bob" Don Underwood, 63, of Avenue C, Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 en route to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Cremation to follow service. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Robert "Bob" Don Underwood was born June 6, 1953 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Willie Udell and Janice K. (Kirkes) Underwood. Bob began work for Greer Construction in 1970 and continued as lead estimator until his retirement in 2015. In 1970, Bob married Angel Wells. Bob was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a baby girl, Kimberly. Survivors are his son: Don Underwood of Houston, TX; daughters: Charissa Pagano and husband, David of Houston, TX, Lacey Keene and husband, Jason of Albuquerque, NM, son, Kyle Underwood of Carlsbad, NM, sister, Linda Dunagan of Carlsbad, NM, brother, Bill Underwood and wife, Luann of Carlsbad, NM, grandchildren: Janice Cline, Mika Dawn Cline, Brian Cline, Jaden Pagano, Taylor Pagano, Cole Keene, Garrett Keene, Brooke Keene, and Kayla Underwood; Aunt Bonnie Williams of Artesia, NM, Uncle Bill and Bonita Kirkes, Uncle Charles and Barbara Kirkes, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the educational scholarships fund of the Carlsbad Elks Lodge #1558, P.O. Box 249, Carlsbad, NM 88221, as Bob was a lifetime member.
