Rita C. Coggins

Rita C. Coggins, 66, of Russell Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away May 26, 2010 at her home. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 2, 2010, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Terry McKean officiating. The family would like to suggest that friends come dressed comfortably. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Rita C. Coggins was born April 17, 1944 in Bozeman, Montana to Charles D. and Christine (Pfeiffer) Cross. She married Darrell J. Coggins on August 31, 1963 in Bozeman Montana. They moved to Carlsbad in 1975 and she enjoyed bowling and watching NASCAR racing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Sue Kampschroer and Roberta Cross. Survivors are her husband, Darrell J. Coggins of Carlsbad, NM; two sons: Charles K. (K.C.) Coggins and wife, Susie of Roswell, NM, Robert (Bob) Coggins and wife, Loupie of Carlsbad, NM; four grandchildren: Charles J. Coggins, USMC of Oceanside, CA, Serenity Coggins, Daniel Coggins and Taylor Coggins all of Carlsbad, NM; three great-grandchildren: Adam, Aiden and Ava and a host of friends and neighbors.
