Richard V. Montoya, 52, of North 1st Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Covenant Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas. There will be a private family service at a later date. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Richard V. Montoya was born August 12, 1960 in Carlsbad, NM to Elias and Ramona (Venegas) Montoya. He was preceded in death by his father, Elias Montoya. He is survived by his wife, Dorinda Montoya of Carlsbad, NM; three children: Veronica Montoya, Reko Montoya and Savanna Montoya all of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Ramona Montoya of Carlsbad, NM; brothers: Esvaldo Montoya, Freddie Montoya, Joe Montoya, Julian Montoya, Raul Montoya, Albert Montoya, Elias Montoya, Jr., Gilbert Montoya and numerous nieces and nephews.
