Richard Allen Reider

Richard Allen Reider, 71, of Modesta Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away September 8, 2022 at University Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas.  Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.

Richard was born January 5, 1951 in New Straitsville, OH. He collected comic books, baseball cards and western books.  Richard enjoyed working in the yard and his hobbies included hunting, fishing and he loved to take care of his family. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Reider; siblings: Mary Taylor, Robert Reider and Margaret Kinney; son, Richard Reider, Jr.; father, Pete Ward.  Survivors are his wife, Oletah Reider; daughters: Laurie Huston, Toni McDonald and husband, John and Anna Lujan and husband, David; granchildren: Shammarie McCormick and husband, Devin, Nicolas Bailey and wife, Bobbie Marie, Destanie Gooch and husband, Dalton, Brittanie McDonald, Brian Reider, Noah Lujan, Xander Reider, Summer Lujan; great-grandchildren: Ronnie Collins, Karissa Marie Collins, Rilynn Gooch, Carter Gooch, Kaiven Bailey, Gage Bailey and Dexter McCromick.
