Richard L. Pulis, 64, of North Mesa Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Albuquerque, NM.
There will be no public visitaiton, cremation will take place.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 1, 2014, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Tony Dominguez officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors.
Richard L. Pulis was born October 18, 1949 in Clayton, New Mexico to Bernard and Hazel (Pepper) Pulis. He served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. Richard married Rosemary Lane on June 28, 1974 in Carlsbad. He worked for New Mexico Welding Supply over 30 years where he retired as manager. Richard loved spending time with his grandchildren and was affectionately known as "Popit". He was a lifetime member of the VFW and Moose Lodge. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting and being in the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chet Warren and granddaughter Dairian Ruiz.
Survivors are his wife, Rosemary Pulis of Carlsbad, NM; son, Troy Warren and wife, Heather of Pasadena, TX; daughter, Kasie Ruiz of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Cody Warren, Samantha Warren, D. J. Ritter, T. J. Warren, Sela Warren, Kaneatha Ruiz and Spencer Warren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Pulis; sisters: Barbara Shellton, Theresa Wood and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
