Ricardo "Ricky" Galindo

Ricardo "Ricky" Galindo, 81, of Alamosa Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 at his home. There will be no public visitation. A vigil is scheduled for Monday, December 21, 2015, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, December 22, 2015, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Cordero officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Ricardo "Ricky" Galindo was born December 14, 1934 in Pecos, Texas to Teofilo "Jack" and Mary (Pearson) Galindo. He was a lifelong resident of Carlsbad. Ricky served as a first sergeant while in the National Guard Unit in Carlsbad. He was also involved with little league Shorthorn Pirates. Survivors are his wife, Virginia Galindo of Carlsbad, NM; sons: Gary Galindo of Las Cruces, NM, Ronnie Galindo of Carlsbad, NM, Randy Galindo of Carlsbad, NM, Rob Galindo of Carlsbad, NM, Ryan Galindo of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Gina Galindo of Albuquerque, NM; 7 granddaughters; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
