Ricardo "Moro" Murillo

Ricardo "Moro" Murillo, 60, of Derrick Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away July 16, 2009 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Vigil is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, 2009, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for July 20, 2009, Monday, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow at Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Ricardo "Moro" Murillo was born April 3, 1949 in Loving, New Mexico to Tomas Adame and Carlota (Madrid) Murillo. He was raised in Otis. Moro had a great love for eagles and a passion for playing the guitar and singing. He lived for his three children and was loved by everyone that knew him. Moro is now at rest but will never be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his father, Tomas Murillo; son, Rudy Murillo; sister, Maria Lusia Portillo and nephew, Isidro Portillo. Moro is survived by his son, Richard Murillo, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Sylvia Enriquez and husband, Luis of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Carlota Murillo of Carlsbad, NM; ten grandchildren: Rickie Murillo, Nick Murillo, Gloria Ramirez, Daniel Munoz, Victor Munoz, Thomas Munoz, Rudy Murillo, Jr., Isidoro Murillo, Amber Franco and Zariah Franco, special niece and nephew that he loved as his own children: Ortencia Murillo, Oscar Murillo, Jr. and their children, Graciela Murillo, Gisela Murillo Fuentes, Jasmine Murillo Rodriguez, Kyran Murillo and Guadalupe Murillo; five brother; two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Cholo Murillo, Raul Hernandez, Cuco Sanchez, LeRoy Navarrette, David Lujan, Luis Enriquez. Honorary pallbearers are Sonny Lopez and Gerardo Gabaldon. .
