Rene A. "Ringo" Gonzalez, 49, of Harding Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, July 18, 2014 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Vigil is scheduled for Friday, July 18, 2014, 7:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2014, 9:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Pasala Hruday Kumar celebrating. Interment will follow in Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Rene A. "Ringo" Gonzalez was born June 2, 1965 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Rejino and Maria (Armendarez) Gonzalez. He enjoyed riding his bike and being with his friends. Ringo was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved life and always had a smile on his face. Ringo will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Rejino Gonzalez, Jr. Survivors are his son, Rene Gonzalez, Jr. of Colton, California; mother, Maria Dobson and husband, George of Carlsbad, NM; brothers: Ruben Gonzalez of Carlsbad, NM, Ricardo Gonzalez and wife, Isabel of Carlsbad, NM; special aunt, Licha (Lila) Gonzalez of Loving, NM and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers are Martin Armendarez, Alvin Rodriquez, Demetrio Munoz, Jr., Dan Calderon, Paul Ray Rivera and Fernando Hinojos.
