Reinaldo Martinez

Reinaldo “El Chulo” Martinez, Sr. of Carlsbad, NM was born to the late, Maria Elena Martinez, on October 6, 1965.  He passed at age 57, in Albuquerque, NM.  “Ray” also served in the National Guard Army, in his younger years. Ray also enjoyed spending time with family, dancing, cooking, playing music, and so much more. 

Reinaldo was proceeded in death, by mother, Maria Elena Martinez, sister Lidia Andreu, and son Daniel Martinez.

Reinaldo is survived, by wife, Elaine Martinez, and children, Reinaldo Jr., Marisol, Felix, Esaih, and wife, Celeste, Genevie, Andrew, and Santana Martinez.  Siblings, Belinda Harris, Ricky Martinez and wife Maria, Iris Florez, Brenda Trujillo, Lisa Jones and husband Steven, Laura Martinez and husband Rafael.  And numerous grandkids, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be; Ricky Martinez, Felix Martinez, Ray Martinez Jr., Esaih Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Santana Martinez.  Honorary Pallbearers will be; Genevie Martinez and Analyiah Jones.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A rosary is scheduled for 9:30 AM Friday, October 20, 2023, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Loving, NM followed Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM with Fr. Pasala Hruday Kumar officiating. Interment will be at the Loving Cemetery.
