Rebecca "Becky" Perez

Rebecca “Becky” Perez, 55, of W. Church Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away February 2, 2022 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center, Las Cruces, NM.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM, Thursday, February 10, 2022 at San Jose Catholic Church followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating.  Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Becky was born August 4, 1966 in Artesia, NM, to Jesus and Isabel (Galindo) Perez.  She graduated from Artesia High School in 1985 where she was a member of the Bulldog Band. Becky enjoyed gardening and crafting.  She was always over-flowing with motherly love for everyone she came across.  Becky loved her grandchildren and especially enjoyed attending their many sporting events.  She was a big football fan and was an avid Redskins fan.  Becky was preceded in death by her parents: Jesus and Isabel Perez; daughter, Kimberly Perez and sister, Connie Rios.

Survivors are her daughters: Stella Perez, Monika Perez and Dezi Campos, all of Carlsbad, NM; son, Sevastian Campos of Carlsbad, NM; three grandchildren: Dev’N Elizondo, Noahlani Elizondo and Aaliyah Gonzalez; brothers: Jerry Perez and wife, Kathy of Artesia, NM, Rudy Perez and Rickey Perez and wife, Kathy, of Carlsbad, NM; father of her children, Sam Campos of Carlsbad, NM; life-long friend, Connie Shofner and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dev’N Elizondo, Eddie Elizondo, Jaime Rios, J.D. Perez, Pete Esquibel and Jacob Campos.
