Obituary Raymond R. Ramirez, 84, of Pike Drive Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family. Raymond was born in Southland, Texas to Pedro and Elpedia Ramirez. Cremation has taken place, and a vigil is scheduled for 7:00 PM Thursday, February 13, 2020, at San Jose Catholic Church. And a funeral mass is scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, February 14, 2020, and San Jose Carholic Church.Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of making arrangements. Raymond was a strong and loyal person, who took pride in all he did. Raymond served his country in the Army for twenty years as a combat engineer; thirteen of which as a unit supply specialist and four as a construction engineer supervisor. He also enjoyed spending time golfing, bowling, playing pool, fishing, and supporting the Cowboys. Raymond was a family man, and loved his family and throwing barbeques. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Raymond was preceded by his father, Pedro Ramirez; mother, Elpedia Ramirez; and brother Fernando Ramirez. Raymond is survived by his wife, Barbara Ramirez of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Christa Mill and husband, Ian of Houston, TX; daughter, Analissa Drummond and husband, Chris of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Linda Warren of Louisville, KY; son, Joe Ramirez and wife, Alice of Carlsbad, NM; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, H.R. Ramirez and wife, Alice of Slayton, NM; brother, Joe Ramirez and wife, Gloria of Amarillo, TX; sister, Felipa Rivera of Lubbock, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
