Ray L. Rowlett, 88, of Sandia, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at his home.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Land officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Ray L. Rowlett was born January 5, 1927 in Megargel, Texas to Homer and Inez (Jackson) Rowlett. He had an extensive career in the U.S. Military, serving in both the Navy and Air Force over 20 years before retiring. After Billie's death in 2007, Ray married Velma Inman July 20, 2010 and has resided in Carlsbad since. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 59 years, Billie Rowlett; two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors are his wife, Velma Inman Rowlett of Carlsbad, NM; children: John Ed Rowlett and wife, Patsy of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Donna Entrekin and husband, Bill of Spruce Pines, Alabama, James Lennan Rowlett and wife, Linda of Hurst, Texas; stepchildren: Gary Lee Inman and wife, Karla of Vancouver, Washington, Marilyn Moore and husband, Jerry of Carlsbad, NM, Ginger Jordan and husband, Johnny of Dallas, Texas, Larry Keith Inman and wife, Deanna of Coppell, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
