Raul Acosta, 42, of West Greene Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Vigil is scheduled for Thursday, February 12, 2015, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, February 13, 2015, 10:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Cordero officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Raul Acosta was born December 3, 1972 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Ana Maria Acosta. He is survived by his wife, Dora Miranda Acosta of Carlsbad, NM; daughters: Genesis Acosta, Giovanni Acosta, Ana Sofia Acosta; stepsons: Raymond Dominguez, Erick Dominguez; grandchildren: Adelyn and Abram; mother, Ana Maria Moore and husband, James Robert Moore; sisters: Denise Moore, Vernise Moore, Liliana Salcido; brother, Eddie Quintero; aunt, Bertha Acosta and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Raymond Dominguez, Erick Dominguez, Raul Morales, Eddie Quintero, Leroy Martinez and Wes Magby. Honorary pallbearers are Roland Magby and Joaquin Molina.
