Ramon Valenzuela

Ramon Valenzuela, 80, was born to Vicente and Blasa Valenzuela in Mesilla, NM on August 31, 1940 and joined them in paradise on August 4, 2021. Ramon enjoyed his life in Carlsbad. He retired from the Carlsbad Tortilla Factory and enjoyed listening to record albums and watching movies. Elvis Presley was his favorite entertainer and he loved to talk about him. But it was visiting with family and friends that brought him the most joy.

Ramon was preceded in death by his mother and father, Blasa and Vicente Valenzuela. His surviving siblings will miss him dearly, Elena Fierro of Albuquerque, Roberto Valenzuela and his wife, Sharon of Carlsbad, Patricia W. Rodriguez and her husband, Adon of Carlsbad, Dolores Flores and her husband, Leonard of Roswell, John Paul Valenzuela, and his wife Cecilia, of Carlsbad, and Veronica Romero, and her husband Paul, of Belen. Ramon is survived by many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

A public viewing will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Denton Wood Funeral Home. A private rosary and vigil will be held later that evening. A public mass will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Pallbearers are Adan V. Rodriguez, Charlie Marrs, Richard Najera, Erik Navarro, Joe Nicholas, Leonard Flores, III, and Adan V. Rodriguez, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are Javier Valenzuela and William Rodriguez.
