R. C. Brooks

R.C. Brooks, 92, of South Country Club Circle, Carlsbad, NM, passed away August 3, 2013 at Lakeview Christian Home. Private family services will be held. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. R. C. Brooks was born September 27, 1920 in Bangs, Texas to Walter and Myrtle (Riordan) Brooks. He married Lois Murphree in 1941. R. C. worked as a Labor Commissioner for 26 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bangs, Texas. R. C. loved hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and two brothers. Survivors are his wife, Lois Brooks of Carlsbad, NM; son, Ennis Brooks and wife, Shirleen of Wylie, TX; sister, LaVita Brininstool of Wylie, TX; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and brother, Firman Brooks of Lake Brownwood, TX.
