Obituary
Presiliano Talano Ortega, 86, of S. 4th Street, Loving, New Mexico, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at his home.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will take place following the service. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 PM at Santa Rosa Catholic Church, Pecos, Texas. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Pecos, Texas. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Presiliano Talano Ortega was born October 11, 1931 in Ruidoso, Texas to Luz Barela and Rumalda (Velasquez) Ortega. He was raised in Pecos, Texas and lived most of his live in California, relocating to Texas in later years. Talano most recently lived in Loving near family. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Talano was preceded in death by his parents, Luz and Rumalda Ortega; siblings: Pablo Ortega, Trinidad Ortega, Ylario Ortega, Gabriel Ortega and Pilar Escanuelas. He is survived by his sisters: Santiaga Prieto of Phoenix, Arizona, Maria Ornelas of Loving, NM and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
