Phyllis Menasco

Phyllis Menasco, 80, of North James Street Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. Phyllis was born on July 7, 1941, in Paris, Arkansas to Jesse Corbishley and Lucy Gladys Corbishley.

Cremation has taken place, and a visitation is scheduled from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, July 19, 2021, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Final Interment will be at Carlsbad Cemetery in Carlsbad, NM.

Phyllis graduated from Henryetta High School in Henryetta, OK in 1960. She then went to Oklahoma State Technical School of Training, and then worked for Phillips Pet Co. for five years, then moved to New Mexico to raise her daughter in 1971. Then in 1978 she moved to Carlsbad, and worked as a cake decorator for 27 years. Phyllis married Eddie Menasco on August 1, 1988. She enjoyed fishing and playing golf, and she was a great cook. Phyllis was loved dearly by her friends and family, and will never be forgotten.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Corbishley; mother, Lucy Gladys Clingan; sister, Jean Gray; and brother, Mervin Jones.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Eddie Menasco of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Sabrina Puckett and husband, Norman of Mazon, IL; granddaughter, Crista Thomas and husband, John of South Port, NC; grandson, Shane Puckett and wife, Sarah of Peoria, IL; four great-grandchildren: Alex Thomas, Eleanor Thomas, Jillian Puckett, and Tyson Puckett; and several nieces and nephews.
