Phyllis I. Rauch

Phyllis I. Rauch, 83, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Carlsbad Medical Center.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held June 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.

 

Phyllis was born September 4, 1939, in Rosebud, Texas to William and Dessie McBride.  Phyllis grew up in Hobbs, NM and then graduated high school from Southwestern Assembly of God in Waxahachie, Texas. Following school, she started her family. Phyllis was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church. She loved God, and shared His love with others. She had a great sense of humor, and always made others laugh. One of her fondest memories growing up was visiting the Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX with her family to visit injured soldiers. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten. 

 

Phyllis was preceded in death by her father, William Alan McBride; mother, Zereda (Wiggington) McBride; and three siblings: James Dillard McBride, Rev. Carole Avon McBride, and Glenda Faye Calvery. 

 

Phyllis is survived by her husband, David Rauch of Carlsbad, NM; children: Laron Painter and husband, Newt of Odessa, TX, Phillip Johnson and wife, Cheryl of Aurora, CO, Jeffrey Johnson and wife, Melissa of Artesia, NM, Danny Rauch and wife, Beth of Arlington, TX, Dustin Rauch and wife, Rebecca of Crawford, TX, and Cody Rauch and wife, Kier of Camp Verde, AZ; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
