Phyllis Fuller

Phyllis Yvonne Magby Fuller, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. She was surrounded by her family when she left her earthly home. Her unwavering belief in God gave her great peace during her last days on earth.
Phyllis was born on July 24, 1943, in Carlsbad, NM, to the late Douglas and Willie Mae (Yarbro) Magby and came to trust Jesus early in life.
Phyllis was a loving and supportive wife to her best friend and husband of 62 years, Reverend Bobby Fuller, and was a devoted and nurturing mother. Phyllis and Bobby met in Carlsbad and were married June 13, 1959. She dedicated her life to being an example of godliness to her husband and their two children, Kelly and Tinky, both of whom she helped guide to salvation early in life and gave encouragement to develop their own spiritual growth.
While raising their family, Phyllis periodically worked outside the home, serving for a time as church secretary for the Epworth United Methodist Church and also working as a cashier for the City of Carlsbad.
Phyllis will be dearly missed by all of her loved ones, who rejoice in the fact that she is now and forever living in glory with her Creator. She is survived by her husband, Bobby; her daughter, Tinky Gohlke and husband Mark of Midlothian, TX, and her son, Kelly Fuller and wife Johnnie of Lubbock, TX; her seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; her twin sisters, Linda Durr and husband, Leon, and Glenda Galbraith, both of Carlsbad, NM; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 30, 2021 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held at First Baptist Church on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
