Phillip Wayne "Butch" Bailey, 57, former resident of Carlsbad passed away July 22, 2010 at Heartland Care Center in Artesia, NM. Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Monday, July 26, 2010 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Graveside Services are scheduled for Monday, July 26, 2010, 2:00 PM, at Carlsbad Cemetery. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Phillip Wayne "Butch" Bailey was born March 28, 1953 in Madison, West Virginia to Claudine C. and Laura B. (Lehman) Bailey. He loved to cook, fish, watch football and was a good gardener. He was preceded in death by his dad, Claudine Bailey. Survivors are his mother, Laura Bailey of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Melissa Sue Castaneda and husband, Robert of Austin, TX; son, Michael William Bailey of Albuquerque, NM; former spouse, Cheryl Bailey of Albuquerque, NM; four grandsons: Robert, Joseph, Anthony and Charlie; two sisters: Jeannie Gibson of Carlsbad, NM, Connie Hunt and husband, Reed of Cloudcroft, NM; brother, Roger Bailey; uncle, Bob Bailey and wife, all of Carlsbad, NM and numerous other family members.
