Perry "Gene" E. Shehan

Perry E. "Gene" Shehan, 57, of Colfax Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Carlsbad Medical Center. There will be no visitation, cremation will take place. There will be no local services. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Perry E. "Gene" Shehan was born July 16, 1957 in Caldwell County, North Carolina to Eulas and Hattie (Price) Shehan. He was raised and lived most of his life in North Carolina. Gene moved to Carlsbad in September 2013 to be closer to his daughter. He was a jack of all trades. He could build anything and liked to work with his hands. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; a sister; 2 sons: Robert Shehan and Scottie Shehan. Survivors are his daughter, Kim Hiner and husband, Lucas of Carlsbad, NM; son, Ricky Shehan of North Carolina; grandchildren: Bruce Alan Shatley, Kimberlin Shatley, Caleb Shehan all of North Carolina; former wife, Ginger Shehan of North Carolina and sister, Betty Barrett and husband, Mancey of North Carolina and his dog, Baby Girl.
