Percy "P.J." Loup, 93, of East Peach Lane, Carlsbad, NM, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at his home.
There will be no visitation, cremation will take place.
A Graveside Service is scheduled for Monday, April 13, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park with Rev. Dan Boyd officiating.
Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors.

Percy "P.J." Loup was born March 25, 1922 in Wallace, Louisiana to Nemour Antione and Leonie Auralie (Haydale) Loup. He graduated from Edgard High School in Louisiana in 1939. P.J. moved to Carlsbad in 1942. He enlisted in the Air Force and trained as an aircraft mechanic. He was a Master Sergeant Supervisor of a mechanic team for a B-29. On October 9, 1943, P.J. married Violet Ann Hicks. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and their friends and also enjoyed fishing. P.J. liked to work on his property and was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Violet Ann Loup and two sisters: Doris Ann and Joyce. The family would like to thank Sabrina Smith, Landsun Hospice and staff for their wonderful care. And a heart felt thank you to neighbors: Ken and Linda Yeager, Robin and Leroy Bostick, Robert and Twyla Atwood and family, Saundra Lee and Chloe Smith for the love and care.
Survivors are his daughter, Rosalie Ann Bernard of Ruidoso Downs, NM; grandson, Terry Bernard and wife, Jesse of Alto, NM; granddaughter, Lisa Bernard of Ruidoso Downs, NM; great-grandchildren: Tee Bernard, Sara Cummins; one great-great-grandchild, Cedar Rosalie Dorgan; brother, Clarence Gerald Loup of Vacherie, LA; sisters: Winona Matthews and husband, Claude of Missouri, Myrna Steib of Luling, LA; niece, Kathy MacMahan of Carlsbad, NM and numerous nieces and nephews; beloved cat, Flash the cat.
Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Bernard, Tee Bernard, Roy Carey, Kenneth Yeager, Leroy Bostick, Earnest Bostick and Charlie Lee.
