Pauline E. McCabe

Pauline E. McCabe, 75, of Calle de Codorniz, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away February 13, 2010 at her home. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 17, 2010, 10:30 AM, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church with The Rev. Geri Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Pauline E. McCabe was born July 20, 1934 in Bellaire, Ohio to Henry and Helen (Veselka) Vinka. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved being a homemaker and taking care of her home. Her hobbies included embroidery, listening to music, traveling and being surrounded by her loving daughter, son-in-law and grand-dog, Bella. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Sonny Vinka; infant sister and fianc, Richard Williamson. The family would like to thank Dr. Fawwaz Shoukfeh, Dr. Guy Wells, Lubbock Heart Hospital and Carlsbad Home Care Connection for all of their love and support. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law(known as her son): Ele Cox and husband, Jeff of Carlsbad, NM; grand-dog, Bella; brother, Carl Vinka and wife, Jean of Carlsbad, NM; former spouse, Jerry McCabe of Carlsbad, NM; sister-in-law, Donna Hancock of Carlsbad, NM, several nieces and nephews who she was very close to locally and out-of-state; extended daughter, Judy Wyrick and husband, Fred of Carlsbad, NM. Pallbearers will be Jeff Cox, Jimmy Vinka, Sam Meeks, Austin Meeks, Jerry McCabe and Jean Vinka. Honorary pallbearers are Nick Carrasco, Larry Lunsford, Fred Wyrick, Bill Marion and Sam Sharp.
