Paul Anthony "Pablo" Yanez, 41, of Alvarado Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at his home. Visitation will be 2:00 PM-4:00 PM, Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Vigil is scheduled for Thursday, November 15, 2012, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, November 16, 2012, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Santa Catarina, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Paul Anthony "Pablo" Yanez was born on October 15, 1971, in Carlsbad, NM, to Francisco "Frank" and Nora (Rodriquez) Yanez. He loved listening to music, working out, watching movies and spending time with family. Paul worked as a waiter in various restaurants in the Carlsbad community. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church. Paul was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed dearly. Survivors are his mother, Nora Yanez of Carlsbad, NM; sisters: Victoria Yanez of Carlsbad, NM, Lisa Y. Granger of Carlsbad, NM; brothers: Daniel Yanez of Carlsbad, NM, Frank Yanez, Jr. of Los Lunas, NM; nieces: Chelsie Yanez, SaVana Salcido, Mary Jo Granger, Lia Granger, Maliyah Sanchez, Mariah Sanchez, Sophee Barrera; nephews: Anthony Galvan, Nico Barrera, Dylan Barrera, Rio Granger, Manuel Sanchez, Daydrian Yanez, Nikki Barrera. Pallbearers will be Jody Granger, Ryan Salcido, Rio Granger, Danny Yanez, Manual Sanchez, Jr. and John Methola. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
