Patsy Ann Castillo

Patsy Ann Castillo, 74, of Orchard Lane, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away December 5, 2009 at Covenant Medical Center. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2009 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for December 12, 2009, Saturday, 10:00 AM, at Fox and Lake Church of Christ with Anthony Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Patsy Ann Castillo was born February 26, 1935 in Niagra, Missouri to Walter and Phronia (Jemes) Barker. She moved to Carlsbad in the early 1950's. Patsy married Alfredo Castillo, Sr. in 1957. She worked at Lakeview almost 20 years as a nurses aide. Patsy loved the time she spent with her family. She was a long time member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred Sr.; sons: Ronald Johnson, Rick Castillo and grandson, Chris Castillo. Survivors are five children: Suzy Johnson of Carlsbad, NM, Raymond Johnson and wife, Marcella of Carlsbad, NM, Alfredo Castillo, Jr., and wife, Bobbie of Carlsbad, NM, Denise Castillo of Albuquerque, NM and Janice Sarabia and husband, Joe of Carlsbad, NM; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Neva Fox, Nadine Hayward, Phyllis Vold; brother, Bob Barker and numerous neices and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ricky Castillo, Jr., Orlando Morales, Michael Whitzel, Michael Molina, Raymond Johnson, Jr. and Jackie Jameson, Jr. Honorary Pallbearer is Kyle Hewitt.
