She had fond memories of working in her parent’s greenhouses and her grandparent’s general store. She graduated high school in Englewood, CO in 1956. She met Johnny Adkins and married in 1962. She worked several jobs in her lifetime, but her most favorite was working for James Hamilton Construction working security. She and Johnny traveled all over New Mexico with the Construction Company. They later retired in Truth or Consequences, NM. You could always find her with a Pepsi in one hand and a book in the other. She had a love of gardening, plants, and rock hunting. She had an amazing voice and could out sing anyone in the Church Choir. Once retired she studied reflexology and was famous for her shoulder and foot massages. She also tended to their Pistachio Orchard which brought her great joy. She was a caregiver by nature and did it well. She was very patient and had such a kind and caring heart.

We would like to thank Lakeview Christian Home for their compassion and amazing care they provided to her.  She not only enjoyed her time there, but she flourished under their care. We would also like to thank Lakeview Hospice for the sweet end of life care.
