Patricia J. “Pat” Vannatter, 91, of Yarbro Road, Loving, NM, passed away December 14, 2022 at her home.  Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, December 19, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Tarvin and Pastor Howell Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery.  Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pat was born June 2, 1931 in Benwood, West Virginia to Stephen and Anna Marie (Ralbusky) Rogozinski.  She graduated from high school in Wheeling, West Virginia.  Pat earned an L.P.N. in Glendale, West Virginia.  She worked at the Holiday Inn and worked underground in the cafeteria at the Carlsbad Caverns for many years.  Pat loved fishing, spending time outdoors and gardening.  She cherished the time with her children and grandchildren.  Through Pat’s example, she passed down compassion and love to her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ursula Battistelli; step-mother, Betty Rogo; husband, Tom Vannatter and grandson, Jeff Wilson.

Survivors are her children: Kathy Shreve and husband, Tim of Elkins, West Virginia, Janet Wilson and husband, Dave of Cassville, Missouri, Sharon Smith and husband, Wade of Carlsbad, NM, Tommy Vannatter and wife, Tracy of Carlsbad, NM, Anna Tarvin and husband, Jimmy of Loving, NM; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Tarvin II, Trey Tarvin, Christyan Wilson, Mihaly Trevino, Dominy Trevino, Jathin Barnwell and Caleb Vannatter.  Honorary pallbearers are Aaron Shreve, Mike Brewer, Brian Barnwell and Donny Trevino.
