Patricia Ann Bishop, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, of Roswell, NM, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Services will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012, 10 a.m. at Denton-Wood Funeral Home in Carlsbad, NM, with burial to follow in Carlsbad Cemetery. Pastor Michael Bingham will be officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
Patricia Ann Bishop was born August 5, 1930 in Bisbee, AZ. She married Weldon Ray Bishop on November 2, 1946. The couple resided in Paris, TX, Carlsbad, NM and in 1970, moved to Ruidoso, NM where they owned and operated Bishop Tom's Sales for over 35 years. They had 3 children, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. They loved spending time with their family and their years in Ruidoso with many close friends and customers. They were especially proud of the business they had built together, and the reputation they maintained within the community.
Patricia Ann Bishop was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Rosalie Magnuson; sister, Renee Smith, husband, Weldon Ray Bishop; daughter, Susan Bishop Spall and grandson, Aaron Ray Bishop. Survivors include son, Donald Ray Bishop of Hobbs, NM; daughter, Brenda Bishop Kasuboski and husband Joe of Roswell, NM; grand-daughters, Raeann Cosgrove Rodriguez and husband Joe, Michell Lee Cosgrove; great-grandchildren, Brooke Leann Rodriguez, Camron Nicholas Cosgrove and Auston Ray Cosgrove, all of Houston, TX.
Pat will be greatly missed. She was a very loving and giving person who always seemed to be able to look on the brighter side of life. She loved God, and was confident that he would always bring her through whatever trials she might face. It was her faith, and love for her family, that kept her moving forward with a smile and a laugh that we will all fondly remember!
Pallbearers will be Joe Kasuboski, Joe Rodriguez, Camron Cosgrove, Auston Ray Cosgrove, Jimmy Hernandez and Shane McAnally.
