Patricia A. Taylor, 66, of Rosedale, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at her home.
There will be no visitation; cremation has taken place.
A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 30, 2013, 11:00 AM, at First Assembly of God with Pastor Brad Coates officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Patricia A. Taylor was born on October 27, 1946, in Carlsbad, NM to William Riley and Thelma (Ballard) Williamson. She grew up in Carlsbad and graduated from Carlsbad High School. Patricia lived in California for a short time. She worked as a waitress at various places including Sno to Go, Dari-Lea, Cortez, The Velvet Garter in White's City. Patricia also worked with the mentally and physically challenged in Carlsbad and Tucson. On December 15, 1964, she married Jack A. Taylor, Sr. Patricia later married Robert Garcia on January 1, 1983. She obtained her associate's degree to be a paralegal. Patricia loved to write poetry and has a book of poems locally published. She enjoyed watching movies, reading and studying the bible. Patricia loved music and enjoyed dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; an infant brother; two brothers: Gary W. Williamson and Kenneth Williamson.
Survivors are her children: Natalie Nelson and husband, Kevin, Jack "Duke" A. Taylor, Jr. and wife, Terrie, Vance A. Taylor, Tamara N. Shull and husband, Jimmy and Veronica A. Garcia and Burton W. Hubbard, all of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Elizabeth Ashley Taylor, Blade Aaron Taylor, Macy Ann Taylor, Hayden Allen Taylor, Chase Ryley Nelson, Stormy Mariah Garcia, Autumn J. Shull, Jimmy J. Shull, Jr., Jessy J. Shull; and great grandchild, Allison R. Minor.
