Pat "Granny" Dorman, 67, of Jewel Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Carlsbad Medical Center.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, October 21, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 22, 2016, 9:30 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Prell officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Pat "Granny" Dorman was born August 2, 1949 in Carlsbad, NM. She owned and operated Granny's Quilt Barn for many years. She was a member of the Quilt Guild and she also made many quilts for Lakeview Hospice. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, James and Christine Carter; son, Michael Dorman; husband, Buster Dorman; brothers: Donald, Kenneth, Ray and sisters: JoAnn and Jean.
Survivors are her daughter, Tawnya Snowden and husband, Kyle of Carlsbad, NM; brother, Slick Carter and wife, Denise of Dallas, Texas; sister, Johnnie Sue McGee of Artesia, NM; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kyle Snowden, Charlie Davis, James Carter, Wesley Carter, Jerry Carter, and John Rowlett.
