Obituary Orlando T. Madrid, 59, of Walterscheid Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at home surrounded by family. Visitation will be 5-7 PM, followed by a vigil at 7 PM, Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Liturgy of the Word service will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at San Jose Catholic Church with Deacon Tony Dominguez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery. Orlando T. Madrid was born to Manuel and Alice Madrid on September 8, 960. He married Maria on August 22, 1992. Orlando liked to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. He loved to babysit and spend time with his children, grandchildren and his Princess Amree. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Alice Madrid; brothers, Samuel Madrid and Tony Madrid. Orlando is survived by his wife of 27 years, Maria Madrid; sons: Angel Madrid and fianc, Vanessa of Carlsbad, Victor Madrid of Carlsbad, Orlando LeeRay and wife, Gabby of Dallas, Texas, Joshua Madrid of Midland, Texas; daughter, Laura Madrid of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren: Amree Princess Madrid, baby Samuel, Nathaniel Madrid, Ian Madrid, Anthony Delbosque; mother-in-law, Elva Olivas; brothers: Henry Madrid and wife, Melissa, Bobby Madrid and wife, Rosalinda, Timothy Madrid and wife, Elisa, Mike Madrid and wife, Patsy; several brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews; Godchildren: Pablo Olivas, III, Arturo Olivas, Jr., Daniela Gonzalez, Saul Olivas, Jr. and Jaylyn Torres. Pallbearers are Pablo Olivas, III, Adrain Quezada, Manuel Quezada, Jr. (Chapo), Orlando Gonzalez, Daniel Madrid, Evelyn Castillo, Jeremy Rodriquez and Domingo Olivas, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren and Godchildren.
