Orlando "Charro" Villegas, Sr., 44, of Standpipe Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Carlsbad Medical Center.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Monday, September 12, 2016 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Loving, NM.
A vigil is scheduled for 7:00 PM, Monday, September 12, 2016 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Loving. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, September 13, 2016, 2:00 PM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico.

Orlando "Charro" Villegas, Sr. was born March 5, 1972 in Carlsbad, NM. He graduated from Loving High School in 1990, which was the first graduating class. Charro worked for Carter Farms and Brantley Farms for many years before going to work with the City of Carlsbad. He had a passion for horses and enjoyed roping. Charro volunteered with the Loving Volunteer Fire Department. He loved spending time with his family and coached his kids in various sports for many years. Charro will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; one niece and an uncle.
Survivors are his wife, Jamie Villegas; mother: Pepa Villegas; sons: Orlando Villegas, Jr. and Jessica Van Natta, Jose Andres Villegas; daughter, Angelica Villegas; sister; RoseAnn Olivas and husband, Juan R.; step-daughter, Jayde Belcher and Gabriel Trujillo; step-son, Nicholas Carrasco; step-daughter, Jazin Milstad; grandson: Gabriel Joe; nephews: Edward (Teddy) Olivas and Ramon Olivas; nieces: Umeka Olivas and Juana Olivas, 9 great nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Edward Olivas, Juan Olivas, Jose Villegas, Orlando Villegas, Jr., Mike Hernandez and Robert Villegas.
