Oralia Martinez Lara, 50, of North Lake Street, Carlsbad, NM, New Mexico, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Monday, April 21, 2014 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Loving, NM. A Vigil is scheduled for Monday, April 21, 2014, 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Loving, New Mexico. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Loving, NM with Fr. Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Oralia Martinez Lara was born March 15, 1964 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Alejandro and Josephine (Rodriguez) Martinez. She was raised by Felix and Jesusita Martinez. She married Paul Lara on October 19, 2013 in Loving, New Mexico after 24 years. She loved to sing, dance and take pictures. She was very family oriented and especially loved her kids and grandkids. Oralia loved to be outside and soak up the sun. She really liked to watch lifetime. No matter how old her children got, they were still her babies. We love you Mommy! She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors are her husband, Epolito "Paul" Lara of Carlsbad, NM; sons: Ricky Melendrez and wife, Adele of Carlsbad, Angel Martinez and wife, Genesis of Milwaukee, Alejandro "Buddah" Melendrez of Carlsbad; daughters: Ashley Melendrez of Carlsbad, Chasity Melendrez of Carlsbad, Emily Melendrez and fiance, Rafael of Milwaukee, Daisy Melendrez and boyfriend, Dustin Carrasco of Carlsbad; brothers: Alejandro Martinez and wife, Merced of Midland, Texas, Ricky Martinez and wife, Maria of Carlsbad, Reinaldo Martinez of Carlsbad; sisters: Corina Lovato and husband, Larry of Carlsbad, Cindy Rodriguez of Alamogordo, Lydia Andreu of Carlsbad, Belinda Harris of Carlsbad, Iris Florez of Albuquerque, Brenda Garza and husband, Pete of Carlsbad, Lisa Jones and husband, Steve of Albuquerque; 16 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Angel Martinez, Daniel Martinez, Patrick Florez, Manual Lara, Sr., Margarito Lara and Lupe Lara. Honorary pallbearers are Xarely and Christian Ruemmele, Alexis Melendrez, Anisih Rodriguez, Larry Lovato, Pete Garza, Francis Hernandez, Rosario Lara, Richard Melendrez, Alejandro Martinez, Jr., Cornelio Ferrete, Louie Trujillo, Laura Martinez and Rafael Mora.
