Ora Lee Coor

Ora Lee Coor, 90, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away March 18, 2025 at her home. 

A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Woodbine Cemetery, Artesia, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ora Lee was born January 8, 1935 in Lake Arthur, NM to Orrin and Annie Lee (Turner) Smith. She graduated from Lake Arthur High School in 1952. Ora Lee married William “Paul” Coor June 15, 1952 in Lake Arthur. She raised the boys and went to work for Bob Maley at the mobile home dealership, later working for N-REN until they closed. Ora Lee then worked for Denton Funeral Home until she retired. She enjoyed watching the boys play baseball while they were in little league. Ora Lee also loved crocheting, knitting, and crafts. Most importantly, she never turned down the opportunity to be with her family. Ora Lee was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Coor; sisters: Sylvia Smith and Darline Lane; grandson, Noel Coor and great-grandson, Adam Coor.

Survivors are her sons: Roy Coor and wife, Debbie of Artesia, Alan Coor and wife, Debra of Carlsbad; grandchildren: David Coor and wife, Amy, Tami Alexander and husband, Jason, Kasi Ryan and husband, Wes; great-grandchildren: Kayden, Kylee, Camdon, Wyatt, Cash, and Macy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
