Opal Larrentree

Opal Larrentree, 91, of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away January 17, 2010 at Landsun Health Service Center. There will be no public visitation, cremation will take place. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Friday, January 22, 2010, 3:00 PM, at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park with Pastor Brad Coates officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Opal Larrentree was born in Brady, TX to Thomas O. and Bertha (Gentry) Sessom on September 3, 1918. She loved the outdoors, camping and gardening. She had a green thumb. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. W. Larrentree; daughter, Ann Ferrell; brothers: Tuffy, Luke and Walter Sessom and sister, Jewel Thompson. She is survived by daughter, Jan Bryant and husband, Grady of Hurst, TX; devoted nephew, Terry Thompson of Carlsbad, NM; three sons: Dean White and wife, Carolyn of Carlsbad, NM, K. P. White of Carlsbad, NM, William Larrentree of Ft. Worth, TX, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, J. W. Sessom of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Betty Wedeking and husband, Doug of Houston, TX. Memorial contributions may be made to Landsun Caring Hands, 1815 Westridge, Carlsbad, NM 88220.
