Olivia Olivo Armendarez

Olivia Armendarez, 63, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away peacefully in her home on February 5, 2023.  There will be no visitation.  Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 11, 2023, 10:00 AM, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3301 S. Canal Street, with Elder Greg Keen officiating.  Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.  Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Olivia was born on November 24, 1959, in Carlsbad, NM to Paula Olivo and Ignacio Olivo.  Olivia grew up in Malaga, NM.  She had 3 children: Kathy, Roy, Jr., and Rocky Armendarez.  Olivia was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and especially loved being active in the public ministry.  She worked as a bus driver in the Loving/Carlsbad area for nearly 25 years.  Olivia also worked at Walmart for 11 years.  She loved spending time with her friends and family, often cooking for them.  Her grandchildren were her world and she loved spending every minute she could with them.  Olivia will be missed by her family and friends.

Olivia was preceded in death by her grandson, Rocky Jeremiah Armendarez, Jr.; grandmother, Antonia Fuentez; brother, Rodolfo Olivo and father, Ignacio Olivo, Sr.

Olivia is survived by her mother, Paula Olivo of Carlsbad, NM; three children: Kathy Armendarez of Lake Butler, FL; Roy Armendarez, Jr. and wife, Beatrice of Carlsbad, NM; Rocky Armendarez and wife, Breanna of Carlsbad, NM; seven grandchildren: Malaki Armendarez, Libby Armendarez, Annalis Lujan, Matthew Armendarez, Faith Baca, Natalie Baca, and Jonathan Baca, all of Carlsbad, NM; seven siblings: Oralia Castillo and husband, Robert, Otilia Gonzales, Olga Olivo, Paulin Garcia and husband, Homer, Ignacio Olivo, Jr., and wife, Theresa, Armando Olivo, and Mark Olivo, all of Carlsbad, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.
